BERQUIST, DELLA - Interviewed Nov 24, 1987 - (F-5-E-6-18) – 30 min Interview by Allen Nossaman Interview includes recollections and notes regarding her husband’s remembrances of Silverton. Her husband, Arthur Hilding Berquist, the son of Gus and Hilda Swanson Berquist, was born in Silverton in 1905 and died in 1987. His father, August “Gus” Berquist, came to America in 1890, to Silverton in 1891, and married Hilda Swanson in 1901. Gus was in the saloon business, worked in the mines and died in Silverton 1913. Louise Berquist Christopher was daughter of Della and Arthur Hilding Berquist.

He worked as a trucker and garage man and after World War II enrolled in dental school. He lived in Delta, Colorado at the time of this interview.
